A recently renovated country house with private pool set in a very peaceful setting of 1.5 hectares near the village of St Félix de Reilhac, not far from the market town of Le Bugue.
The property is located at the end of a quiet lane with no passing traffic and benefits from large grounds surrounding both the house and pool. The pool is situated in front of the property with wood deck surround and enjoys sunshine throughout the day. Behind the property a small unfenced lake nestles in the grounds so parents with small children should survey children when playing outside.
Inside, the owners have combined brand new kitchen and bathrooms to achieve spacious rooms whilst maintaining the old French character of a large stone fireplace in the sitting room, terracotta floor tiling and beams in the kitchen and exposed stonework/ beams on the first floor.
The entrance door leads directly into the very light kitchen/dining room with views out to the garden and pool, which has both a dining table as well as a breakfast bar with high stools. The kitchen area is well equipped and set at the far end of the room.
From the dining area an opening leads through to the large sitting room with comfortable sofas grouped around the large stone fireplace. To the right of the fireplace a corridor leads to a double ensuite bedroom with light wood flooring. The newly installed shower room has a large walk-in shower with double "Rain Heads", basin and WC.
Returning to the sitting room, wooden stairs lead up to the TV room/second salon with sofa and internet connection. This room has lovely limed beams and exposed stonework . At the end of this room is the second double bedroom, also with exposed stonework and beams, with ensuite bathroom including large bath, walk-in shower with double Rain shower heads, basin and WC. From this double bedroom there is also access to a delightful roof terrace over looking the pool and grounds.
Outside, with its own access, is the annexe with double bedroom and tiled ensuite shower room.
All in all a spacious property, in a quiet location but not far from the many sites this lovely area has to offer.

This property is based in the Dordogne (often referred to by its ancient name "The Périgord"). The Périgord Noir where the vast majority of our properties are located, is the 'Jewel in the Crown' of the Dordogne for here, in the triangle formed between the rivers Vézère and Dordogne, you will find the greatest concentration of natural wonders and historic sites, and the loveliest stretches of both rivers. The area is bounded by four famous towns and this property is well situated within this boundary - Sarlat, a medieval treasure house; Périgueux, a thriving and sophisticated small city; Bergerac, shippers of wine since the Middle ages and Monpazier, an extraordinarily well preserved bastide built by King Edward I in 1285.
1 hour from Bergerac airport, 1.5 hours from Brive airport, 2.5 hours from Bordeaux airport/TGV station and 2.5 hours from Toulouse airport.
