Additional Information

Please note:

This beautifully restored property - dating back to the 18th Century - forms a large part of a village-based Château. Although not set in large grounds in common with other Chateaux, this property has the advantage of being located in the heart of the small village of Siorac and is entirely private, with its own pool and well tended walled garden. The village of Siorac has a delightful array of small shops and restaurants, including an antique shop which is allied to the property. The small market towns of St Cyprien and Le Bugue are both a short drive away and the larger town of Bergerac - with its own airport - is also within easy reach, and hosts a bustling market on Wednesday and Saturday mornings.

The property is approached via a private wrought iron gateway which leads through into a gravelled courtyard. There are two entrance doors - one at the lower level via the courtyard leading into a vaulted summer salon and the other via a long flight of stone steps leading to the first floor and entering into the kitchen. From the courtyard the private pool and garden may be accessed. The interior has been fully restored to offer every modern amenity whilst maintaining original features such as the staircases, parquet floors, fireplaces and high ceilings. From the ground floor, which has a vaulted summer salon with stone floor and a bathroom with WC, a sweeping staircase leads to the first floor. On this floor the rooms have either stone or terracotta floor tiles. The sitting room has a collection of fine art and antiques and is a beautifully light room with views over the pool and garden. The fully equipped kitchen with its own separate pantry and laundry room has a large dining table and open fireplace. There is also a bathroom on this floor. There are three bedrooms on the next level, all of which are beautifully decorated with terracotta floor tiles for summer coolness and have quality linens and their own ensuite bath or shower rooms. The staircase leads on up from the landing to the top floor where there are two bedrooms with parquet flooring - a double and one with three singles - which share one very large bathroom.

Opposite the Château, next to the pool, the Studio has a distinct "retro" feel with authentic pictures dating from the 1950's/60's. Accomodation consists of a sitting/kitchen/dining room with cream stone floor, a shower room with WC and two double bedrooms.

An historic property restored to a very high standard, offering all modern amenities and benefitting from a private village location.
