This substantial 15th century stone built Gentilhommière is set in 6 acres of established grounds, woodland and vineyard and is located in the hills above Siorac in the heart of the Périgord Noir. The property has been fully restored and the owners have used a mixture of antique and modern designs to create a truly romantic setting. Internally, many of the rooms have some special and surprising features. The property consists of three floors.

From the courtyard a flight of stone steps lead up to the tower door. On this middle level there is the large sitting room with two open fireplaces, exposed stonework and beams and parquet flooring. A doorway leads through to the second sitting room and on through to a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and dressing room.

Stairs lead down from the second sitting room to the ground floor where there is the fully equipped kitchen/ dining room with open fireplace. A door opens from the kitchen to the gravelled courtyard. Also on this floor is the laundry room and large walk-in shower room with WC. Wooden stairs from the tower go up to the third floor where there are the remaining three bedrooms and a large family bathroom with separate WC. All rooms on this floor have parquet flooring.

Outside is a gravelled courtyard with a large lime tree and a substantial family dining table providing an ideal spot for shady outside eating. Opposite the courtyard is the fully fenced garden and vineyard which leads down to the pool with views across the woodland. There is also a covered eating area overlooking the pool. Altogether a very special place.

Cet imposant manoir du 15ème siècle construit en pierre est ancré au sein de ses terres, bois et vignoble d'une superficie de deux hectares et demi et se trouve sur les coteaux au dessus de Siorac, au coeur du Périgord Noir. La propriété fut complètement restaurée et, pour le style, les propriétaires ont combiné l'ancien au moderne pour créer un lieu absolument romantique. La propriété est composée de trois niveaux. Depuis la cour, une volée de marches en pierre conduit à la tour. A ce niveau, qui est l'intermédiaire, est aménagé un grand salon doté de deux cheminées ouvertes, pierres et poutres apparentes sans oublier le parquet. Une porte permet d'accéder au second salon puis à une chambre aux lits jumeaux avec, en suite, une salle de bains et un vestiaire. Du second salon, un escalier descend au rez-de-chaussée où se trouve la cuisine/salle à manger totalement équipée avec cheminée ouverte. De la cuisine, une porte s'ouvre sur la cour gravillonnée. Egalement au rez-de-chaussée, se trouvent la buanderie et une grande salle de douches. Depuis la tour, un escalier monte au 3ème étage où sont installées les trois autres chambres ainsi qu'une grande salle de bains avec WC indépendant. A l'extérieur, une cour gravillonnée où est placée une table cossue et où se dresse un grand chataignier qui constitue un coin ombragé idéal pour les repas. En face de la cour, le jardin et le vignoble entièrement clôturés descendent à la piscine bénéficiant de vues sur les bois. Il y a aussi un auvent pour les repas au bord de la piscine. Somme toute, un lieu réellement particulier.
