This house, which is more than 300 years old, was once part of the ancient Monastary at Paunat and is set quietly in the countryside yet only 9 kms from the bustling market town of Le Bugue and 3kms from the historic village of Limeuil.

The house has been fully restored and the original bread oven now forms part of the entrance hallway. On the ground floor the hallway leads through to a comfortably furnished sitting room with exposed stonework and beams, which in turn leads into a second sitting/dining room with an open fireplace. From this second sitting room a door leads through to a long galley style, very well equipped kitchen. The master bedroom, with its ensuite shower room and WC, is also on the ground floor as is the other shower room with WC.

Wooden stairs lead up to two pretty bedrooms, both retaining exposed stonework. Each of the upstairs bedrooms has a washbasin.

Outside the covered terrace and the newly built swimming pool both enjoy views across the open countryside. There is also a stone built barn where the table tennis, table football and washing machine may be found.

A very pretty and thoughtfully restored cottage ideally situated for discovering the delights of the Perigord Noir.

Cette maison, qui a plus de trois cents ans, était autrefois une partie du monastère historique de Paunat. Elle se situe en pleine campagne mais se trouve seulement à 9 km du Bugue, petite ville au bord de la Vézère avec ses marchés du mardi et du samedi et à 3km du village médiéval de Limeuil, un des 'Plus Beaux Villages de France'.

La maison a été complètement restaurée mais le four à pain a été conservé dans l'entrée du vestibule. Au rez-de-chaussée, le vestibule mène au séjour avec pierres et poutres apparentes. Du séjour, il y a un petit couloir au fond duquel on trouve un deuxième séjour/salle à manger avec grande cheminée. La cuisine est très bien équipée. Au rez-de-chaussée, se trouvent aussi la chambre principale (avec sa salle de douches et WC) et l'autre salle de douches avec WC. Les escaliers en bois mènent à l'étage et desservent deux chambres, chacune avec pierres apparentes et un lavabo.

Dehors, on y apprécie une très jolie terrasse couverte et la piscine récente, l'ensemble jouissant d'une très belle vue sur la campagne.

Il y a aussi une grange où se trouvent la table de ping-pong, le baby-foot et la machine à laver. Une maison bien située pour visiter la région ou simplement profiter de sa tranquillité.
