This charming village house has been restored with the utmost attention to detail. The family business in days gone by was one of the village tailor and there remain many reminders of this in the house. Even the original tailor’s long table has been preserved where the tailor would sit cross-legged whilst he sewed. The village of Daglan itself is very pretty, with narrow cobbled streets and honey coloured stone houses and shops. On entering the property there is a small hallway off which is a well-equipped kitchen, a shower room with separate WC and a delightful sitting/dining room in which the original vaulted archways and flag stone floors have been retained. In one corner of the sitting room, seperated by a drape, is a small bedroom area. Doors lead out from the sitting room to the terrace and long garden. On the first floor there is a charming second sitting room/snug with corner kitchen. This room overlooks the honey coloured ancient buildings opposite and is a delightful autumn/winter retreat in which to enjoy a good book around a cosy wood-burning stove. Also on this floor are two bedrooms and a bathroom with WC.

A superb house, steeped in history, and set in a quiet village ideally located for discovering the Périgord and close to the river ‘Céou’ for swimming.

Cette maison née il y a plus de deux siècles a une âme, du charme et beaucoup de confort. Par le passé, y habitait la famille du Tailleur (le Livre de Maison vous racontera son histoire) ; aussi agréable à vivre en été qu'en hiver. Passée la lourde porte d'entrée vert Anglais, un petit hall tout de blanc vêtu vous accueillera. A droite, une cuisine aussi gaie que tonique très bien équipée, une salle d'eau toute neuve (hydro-massante), en face, un WC indépendant. Enfin, une fabuleuse salle à manger/salon qui vit encore au souvenir du passé. Le salon dispose d'un coin chambre, les deux séparés par un drap.

Au delà un jardin verdoyant, sa grande terrasse entourée de murs ombragés, ses murettes de pierre couleur miel, son abri de jardin ; c'est l'oasis de fraîcheur en plein coeur de Daglan, village classé, proche de Sarlat et des célèbres sites touristiques du Périgord Noir. A l'étage, une autre salle à manger/séjour à la déco chaleureuse et soignée qui possède, à côté, une cuisine aussi bien équipée. Suit par un couloir l'accès à une salle de bains (grande baignoire) et W.C. En face, une adorable chambre aux poutres blanches habillée de toile de jouy jaune-blanc. Enfin, une très grande chambre : poutres bleues, murs blancs, immense lit, meubles anciens.

Du charme à tous les niveaux.
