Built in 1611 this beautifully renovated Manoir/Château with an immense 18m x 9m swimming pool is set in totally private grounds of 30 hectares. With 7 bedrooms, an independent master suite and 6 bathrooms this property offers very high end accommodation which has been carefully planned and executed. The master suite is located in an adjoining wing of the Manoir and equipped with separate corner kitchen, shower room and sitting/dining room. NOTE: clients may choose to rent the Manoir without the master suite.
On the ground floor the impressive entrance door leads into a large hallway off which is a guest cloakroom. To the right, the formal dining room with long table and chairs and gorgeous suspended lighting has terra-cotta floor tiles, open fireplace and stone walls. This room leads into the informal breakfast room with a good range of pale grey units and a butler sink and on into the very well equipped kitchen with 2 ovens, 2 hobs, 2 dishwashers, large American fridge/freezer, double sinks and granite work surfaces including breakfast bar.
Also on the ground floor are two reception rooms - one an immense games/TV room with wooden floors, contemporary furnishings, comfortable sofas, large flat screen TV and various children's games such as DVDs, jigsaws and table football. The second reception room is more an adults' sitting room, decorated in soft tones and ideal for relaxing with lovely views across to the valley beyond. An office with WiFi/internet access completes the ground floor accommodation.
Returning to the entrance hallway an impressive stone staircase, with carved stone balustrade and suspended lighting spanning 3 levels, gives access to the first and second floors. On the first floor are four large bedrooms with wooden flooring, some featuring stone fireplaces, and three with en suite bath/shower room facilities. One of these bedrooms has an additional adjoining child's bedroom for those parents with small children.
On the second floor are three large ensuite bedrooms and a further child's bedroom adjoining one of the main rooms.
All bedrooms have oak parquet flooring and all bathrooms are fully tiled.
Outside, with direct access from the kitchen, is a large relaxing/dining terrace with good sized teak table and lounging sofas. This terrace overlooks the grounds, forest and pool area. The immense 18m x 9m pool, with electric cover, has a large sunbathing terrace and sun loungers. For a supplement the pool may be heated - please ask us for details.
All in all an historic property, renovated to a very high standard and offering top quality fixtures and fittings. Being located close to Périgueux, the capital of the Dordogne, it has the added advantage of being a short drive to a large town with all amenities.

The area is bounded by four famous towns and this property is well situated within this boundary - Sarlat, a medieval treasure house; Périgueux, a thriving and sophisticated small city; Bergerac, shippers of wine since the Middle ages and Monpazier, an extraordinarily well preserved bastide built by King Edward I in 1285.
