A delightful, fully restored farmhouse and barn set in a small and very quiet hamlet yet a short drive to the market town of Le Buisson which has its colourful market on Friday mornings. Offering comfortable accommodation for up to 10 people the
property is ideal for two families with a mix of double and twin bedrooms, a fully enclosed courtyard with a large covered dining area and a separate upper garden with gated access to the private swimming pool which may be heated on request.

The entrance door leads into a tiled hallway to the right of which is an open plan sitting/dining area with tiled floor, exposed stonework and beams. Separated by the original barn’s cow byres, this room leads through to the well equipped kitchen. Doors from both the sitting room and kitchen lead out to the courtyard where there is a covered eating area with ample seating for 10 people – a welcome haven on hot sunny days. Behind the kitchen is a family bathroom with corner bath and a separate WC. From the sitting room stairs lead up to a landing with sofa and reading area and on to two pretty twin bedrooms.

Returning to the entrance hallway, a door leads from the left into a second sitting/TV room with comfortable sofas and through to a second hallway with shower room, separate WC and the large master bedroom. These ground floor rooms have exposed stonework and beams and, in the master bedroom, an impressive fireplace.
Doors from the master bedroom and second hallway also give access to the courtyard. From the second hallway a short flight of steep stairs leads up to two further double bedrooms, a shower room and separate WC. In all three double bedrooms on this side of the property air conditioning may be requested for a supplementary price.

Outside, a gated access with stone steps leads from the courtyard to the upper garden where the pool and sunbathing terrace is situated. The garden is mainly laid to lawn and there is a children's climbing frame.

All in all a well equipped property, ideal for family holidays, but also offering the advantage of a reduced occupancy price in the mid season for groups of 4 people or less.

This property is based in the Dordogne (often referred to by its ancient name "The Périgord"). Although times may have changed over the years the beautiful Dordogne landscape, in one of the most beautiful areas of France, continues to offer something to amaze and delight everyone. This ancient land, deep in the heart of sunny south-west France, is perfect holiday country; a magical place that will reward all those who choose to explore it.

The Périgord Noir where the vast majority of our properties are located, is the 'Jewel in the Crown' of the Dordogne for here, in the triangle formed between the rivers Vézère and Dordogne, you will find the greatest concentration of natural wonders and historic sites, and the loveliest stretches of both rivers. The area is bounded by four famous towns and this property is well situated within this boundary - Sarlat, a medieval treasure house; Périgueux, a thriving and sophisticated small city; Bergerac, shippers of wine since the Middle ages and Monpazier, an extraordinarily well preserved bastide built by King Edward I in 1285.

Less then 1 hour from Bergerac airport, 1.5 hours from Brive airport, 2.5 hours from Bordeaux airport/TGV station and 2.5 hours from Toulouse airport.

At 2 kms from Le Buisson (supermarket, bank, shops & restaurants).
