This beautiful property is approached via a long lane with an attractive stone entrance and gate leading into the large stone courtyard making it the ideal place for a secluded get-away.
The house is situated to the left of the entrance courtyard, which has parking for several cars, with its elevated position affording lovely views towards the countryside and the mature tree line surrounding the boundary.
The swimming pool with sunbathing terrace and good sized pool house (which is equipped with summer kitchen and dining area ideal for alfresco dining) is set at the lower level with the recently re-surfaced tennis court discreetly set to one side of the grounds.
A long part covered terrace runs along the front of the property with all rooms benefitting from pretty French doors leading out onto the terrace which overlooks the garden views. At the end of the rear terrace a large jacuzzi is discreetly positioned overlooking the garden.
On entering via the front door the hallway gives access, via double glazed doors to the large sitting room. A stone fireplace with wood burning stove and two sets of double doors to both front and back terraces make this space a great spot for relaxing after a day exploring the sites.
The sitting room leads through to the immense kitchen/sitting/snug which has been beautifully decorated and is well equipped. Soft tones combine to ensure the snug - with fireplace and wood burning stove - and dining area are an integral and relaxing part of this very spacious and comfortable entertaining room.
There is a full air conditioning system via ceiling vents installed in both the sitting room and the kitchen/snug/dining room to ensure maximum comfort.
A hand crafted artisinal solid wood staircase leads from the dining area up to a large beamed office with sitting area and separate air-conditioning unit. Existing wi-fi point via satellite, telephone points and satellite TV points are available in several rooms.
Returning to the tiled entrance hallway, there is a large storage cupboard and useful laundry room with plumbing for washing machine, dishwasher and electric points for fridge and dryer. A good sized work surface and sink make this a very practical separate utility area in addition to the kitchen.
To the left of the hallway a long corridor leads to the bedroom wing. There are three large bedrooms with sisal carpet and double French doors leading out to the rear terrace, a fully tiled shower room with separate WC and the master ensuite bedroom with immense walk-in shower, double basins and WC. All the bedrooms have air-conditioning.
Also included in the ensemble of buildings is a stone guest annexe with bedroom, sitting area, corner kitchen and ensuite bathroom with Victorian roll top bath, large shower, WC and basins. Two sets of double doors lead out to the rear and end terraces of the property.
Completing the group of buildings is a double garage with useful storage space.
All in all a beautifully presented and maintained property, very privately situated and in a very central location with access to all the sites and amenities.

This property is based in the Dordogne (often referred to by its ancient name "The Périgord"). Although times may have changed over the years the beautiful Dordogne landscape, in one of the most beautiful areas of France, continues to offer something to amaze and delight everyone. This ancient land, deep in the heart of sunny south-west France, is perfect holiday country; a magical place that will reward all those who choose to explore it.
The Périgord Noir, where the vast majority of our properties are located, is the 'Jewel in the Crown' of the Dordogne for here, in the triangle formed between the rivers Vézère and Dordogne, you will find the greatest concentration of natural wonders and historic sites, and the loveliest stretches of both rivers. The area is bounded by four famous towns and this property is well situated within this boundary - Sarlat, a medieval treasure house; Périgueux, a thriving and sophisticated small city; Bergerac, shippers of wine since the Middle ages and Monpazier, an extraordinarily well preserved bastide built by King Edward I in 1285.
Less then 1 hour from Bergerac airport, 1.5 hours from Brive airport, 2.5 hours from Bordeaux airport/TGV station and 2.5 hours from Toulouse airport.
