A very charming old stone village house located in the popular market town of Le Bugue which is set on the banks of the River Vézère. Situated in a quiet lane in the old cobbled part of Le Bugue, this property has been lovingly restored by its owner to provide very comfortable accommodation in any season.

The property is light and airy and has the added advantage of its own courtyard garden, enclosed with high exposed stone walls.

Within walking distance of all amenities, including canoeing on the river Vézère, this property is ideally located for those who want to soak up the atmosphere of an old French town, including the bi-weekly open air markets on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

The entrance into the property is at the side, along a cobbled walkway, passing three old fountains. Double doors lead into the spacious kitchen/dining room with soft tones, large dining table, newly installed kitchen with wood topped island and second glazed door out to the delightful walled garden.

A compact laundry room with good sized appliances as well as a separate cloakroom with WC are also on this level.

To the right a lovely glazed interior door leads through to the sitting room with comfortable sofa and exterior door giving access onto the quiet lane. A newly installed shower room completes the accommodation at this end of the property.

Returning to the kitchen/dining room wooden stairs lead up to the bedroom with parquet floor and a very cute balcony with bistro table and chairs - ideal for coffee and croissants!

All in all a good sized pied-à-terre for a couple, finished to a high standard and within walking distance of all amenities.

This property is based in the Dordogne (often referred to by its ancient name "The Périgord"). Although times may have changed over the years the beautiful Dordogne landscape, in one of the most beautiful areas of France, continues to offer something to amaze and delight everyone. This ancient land, deep in the heart of sunny south-west France, is perfect holiday country; a magical place that will reward all those who choose to explore it.

The Périgord Noir where the vast majority of our properties are located, is the 'Jewel in the Crown' of the Dordogne for here, in the triangle formed between the rivers Vézère and Dordogne, you will find the greatest concentration of natural wonders and historic sites, and the loveliest stretches of both rivers. The area is bounded by four famous towns and this property is well situated within this boundary - Sarlat, a medieval treasure house; Périgueux, a thriving and sophisticated small city; Bergerac, shippers of wine since the Middle ages and Monpazier, an extraordinarily well preserved bastide built by King Edward I in 1285.

Less then 1 hour from Bergerac airport, 1.5 hours from Brive airport, 2.5 hours from Bordeaux airport/TGV station and 2.5 hours from Toulouse airport.

In the old market town of Le Bugue (banks, shops, supermarkets, restaurants & cafés; railway station).
